This theory seminar teaches students how to understand any hairstyle as a shape and interpret and analyze.
CUT THEORY
Gain understanding on the different working parts of a haircut.
Haircut is not just about length, it is about elevation, graduation, layers, texture, and weight.
Learn about each component and how to create a style using them.
CUT DIAGRAM
Learn how to draw a cut diagram using any photo of any style.
A cut diagram allows you understand any hairstyle in geometry and angles.
Students will be able to recreate any hairstyle they see on a human head.
HAIRCUT STRUCTURE
After the students learn how to draw a diagram, students will learn how to create structure using the key working parts of a haircut.
Students will be able to apply this knowledge to general structure.
SILHOUETTE
Learn how to create a hairstyle using the understanding of silhouette and how to shape a haircut based on this understanding.
Learn how to construct cut based on the customer's head shape, face shape, and overall silhouette.

CUT TECHNIQUE
Understand how different cutting techniques result to different styles.
Students will learn what scissors are popular in Japan right now, and learn various cutting techniques for creating texture.
Learn why Japanese shears are the best in the world.
